Gage is a small team of engineers building tools for AI/ML developers with a focus on measurement. Empirical methods gave us vaccines and space travel. They’ll help us build safe and useful AI.

Be less wrong

Software and model performance metrics hold an allure of truth. Don’t believe the numbers. Be skeptical. Dig into the details to understand why the numbers are wrong — work to make them less so.

Community is key

Software is only as good as the community that uses and drives its development. We support open, creative, fun projects that encourage contributions from a diversity of experience and skill.

Software quality matters

We don’t write perfect code but we take code quality seriously. Sometimes it takes a few iterations to put things in shape. We give ourselves and our collaborators the time needed to do good work.
